VKARD Design Guidelines
Before starting your own design, remember that VKARD has its own in-house design service that can assist you for free. Simply send us your logo or design, and we’ll take care of the rest. A proof (BAT) will be sent to you for approval before we proceed with production.
Pre-designing your cards before sending them to VKARD requires some proficiency with graphic design applications. Certain technical skills are needed to use our templates and save your work in the best format for printing. However, if you are a design professional, you already have these skills mastered.
Our cards measure 54 mm x 85 mm. For a VKARD Classic White Solid Color, please allow for 2 mm of bleed, corresponding to the area where your background extends beyond the edge of the card.
We accept the following file types up to a size of 50 MB: SVG, PDF, AI.
We only print in CMYK, so Pantone or spot colors are not accepted.
Thicker lines print better. We recommend a minimum line weight of 0.5 pt and a minimum font size of 8 pt.
Designs containing graphics or text must be submitted as a vector PDF. To keep your text in vector format, we recommend using applications like Adobe Illustrator. Please note that saving text as a JPEG may result in “blurry” edges.
When your design includes both photographs and text, ensure your photos are at 300 dpi, and save your final design as a PDF.
General Design of the VKARD
- Front: Company logo/design
- Back: First name/LAST NAME and QR code or QR code only. Optionally, a job title, although we recommend avoiding information that may change in the future.
CLASSIC BLACK
- No solid color fill possible on this model. Black card on both front and back.
- Front (logo): Color or white printing
- Back: White only
- The entire QR code must not be reduced or modified.

CLASSIC WHITE
- Solid color fill possible on the front. For dark colors, use the template with the inverted QR code from the Classic Black model.
- Front (logo): Black or color printing
- Back: Black or color printing (dark color for the QR code to ensure readability)
- The entire QR code must not be modified or reduced.

BAMBOO
- No solid color fill possible. The bamboo must not be completely covered.
- Front (logo): Black or color printing
- Back: Black or color printing (dark color to ensure QR code readability)
- The entire QR code must not be modified or reduced.

BLACK METAL
- The logo is engraved on the front. The engraving reveals the metal beneath the black surface of the card, which is either gold or silver. The logo is therefore monochrome.
- Front (logo): Engraving, silver or gold
- Back: White only
- The entire QR code must not be reduced or modified.

The VKARD team will handle the preparation of visuals, particularly to meet printing requirements. If you wish, you can prepare a .pdf file on your side to submit to us, and we will adjust it if necessary.
Otherwise, the vector logo will suffice: we will provide you with a proof (BAT).
